This page explains what the Ministry of Education portal keeps in your browser when you visit it, why it keeps it, and how to clear it at any time.
What the portal keeps
The public pages of this portal set no cookies. What the portal keeps is three settings of your own, held in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to the ministry or to anyone else:
- your answer to the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page;
- the text size you chose in the accessibility tools;
- the accessibility mode you turned on, such as low vision or safe motion.
These settings stay on your device alone. Open the portal on another device or in another browser and it starts from its defaults.
What the portal does not do
The portal runs no tracking or advertising code and shares nothing about your visit with outside platforms. Its content security policy allows scripts and connections from the ministry's own origin only, so a third-party tracker could not run inside the page even if one were added by mistake.
Cookies in the back office
The content back office - which is for ministry staff and requires a sign-in - uses two cookies that it cannot work without: one holds the sign-in session, the other protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Neither is used for measurement or tracking, and neither is ever set for a visitor to the public pages.
How to clear what is stored
You can clear these settings at any time from your browser's settings, by clearing site data or browsing data. The portal then returns to its defaults and the cookie notice appears again.
The rest of the policies
For how the ministry handles your personal data, see the privacy policy. For the terms of using the portal, see the terms and conditions.
