In a bid to contribute to the promotion of education in KSA, the Ministry of Education has launched a multitude of initiatives most prominent of which are:
The Housing Subsidy Initiative
The Ministry of Education launched, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing, a joint initiative whereby it grants to its employees an additional interest-free loan amounting to 10% of the house value and not exceeding SR 95,000.
The initiative is aimed at facilitating house ownership by eligible affiliates of the Ministry who are registered in the lists of the Real Estate Fund and the Ministry of Housing. Also, the initiative involves offering a maximum amount of SR 500,000 in the form of a real estate loan.
The initiative comes as a realization of the sustainable development goals to build the human capital in addition to the fact that it leads to the establishment of a firm infrastructure that supports the achievement of the sustainable development goals, sustained gender equality in learning opportunities and contribution to raising the standard of intellectual production in order to offset loss of natural resources and achieve an inclusive, equitable and sustainable economic growth.
Research and Development Support Initiative
The research and development initiative contributes to the acceleration of research and development in Saudi universities and to the creation of a new research support mechanism, which, as a mainstay of scientific and economic advancement, would eventually increase local production and strengthen the economy.
The initiative is an outcome of the government's concern about public education, scientific research and support of academics and researchers in KSA.

Initiative on Developing Digital Skills in association with Misk Charitable Foundation
This initiative entitles the participants to acquire the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching with Digital Technologies awarded by Cambridge International Qualifications.
The prestigious certificate enables the holders to effectively use technology in teaching and in choosing digital technologies and activities suitable to their respective classes in a manner that would lead to the achievement of the set educational goals and the motivation of students to interact with the learning environment and overcome possible classroom challenges.

The Saudi Digital Library Initiative
The ministry seeks to develop work in the library and to ensure the presence of a convenient environment that would enable researchers to save effort and time by availing of the researches published in the available world class magazines.

Ryadee (Pioneer) Initiative on education about entrepreneurship and investment in public and undergraduate education comes within the context of the ministry's endeavor to perfect the educational outputs in conformity with Saudi 2030.
