
The Kingdom’s students won four awards in the second season of the online "Future Science Challenge" competition in 2022, which is sponsored by the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance. The competition targets junior and professional categories of gifted and outstanding male and female students in the field of science and technology from citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Saudi students, nominated by the Ministry of Education, won four medals. Mekki Mohammad Zakri and Amin Ayman Sejini from Tuwaiq Academy and the Riyadh Education Department won the “Future Science Challenge Champion” Award in the Junior Category. Hakim Hafeth Al-Amoudi and Ibrahim Ahmed Rifai from the Jazan Education Department won the “Best Designer” Award in the Junior Category. In addition, a team consisting of Abdulaziz Salman Al-Hudhaif, Faisal Abdullah Al-Rashdan, and Tamim Nasser Al-Qafari from the Riyadh Education Department won the award for the “Best Engineer” in the junior category. While the team, including Jihad Bakhit Al-Jahani, Youssef Mohammad Al-Faqih, and Abdul Rahman Fahd Al-Duraibi from Tuwaiq Academy and the Riyadh Education Department, won the "Best Engineer" award in the professional category,
The Ministry of Education participated in the "Future Science Challenge" competition, which aims to promote learning of the principles of artificial intelligence and the internet of things by focusing on interdisciplinary learning methods. The participation was through 222 talented students within 89 teams, out of 605 male and female students who participated from the Gulf countries, representing 250 teams within the categories of the participating teams, including "Future Science Challenge Champion" for teams, "Best Designer," "Best Innovator," "Best Engineer," and "Best Presenter."
