Al-Aqeeli inaugurates the Saudi Education Pavilion at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions

The 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions began today, Wednesday, featuring extensive international participation, with over 1,000 inventions showcased from 35 countries around the globe.
Prof. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Aqeeli, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and head of the Ministry of Education delegation participating in the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, inaugurated the Saudi Education Pavilion. The event was attended by the Kingdom's Consul General in Geneva, Mr. Abdullah Al-Zahrani; the Chargé d'Affaires in Bern, Mr. Dawood Al-Mashar; and the Cultural Attaché in Germany, Dr. Malik Al-Wadei, along with several ambassadors, university presidents, and members of the diplomatic corps. The event also included broad involvement from representatives of various educational and innovation institutions.
The opening ceremony featured a presentation showcasing Saudi Arabia's participation and a speech by Dr. Al-Aqeeli, who underscored the significance of this participation and its role in fostering innovation and scientific research, empowering national talent, and enhancing the Kingdom's standing in international forums.
The Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership for the ongoing support that the education sector receives, as well as the considerable interest in empowering innovators and inventors within the framework of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

He expressed his deep appreciation for the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, for his dedication, ongoing support, and guidance regarding the importance of honorable Saudi representation in international forums.
His Excellency stated, "The education sector's participation, showcasing 134 innovations from over 300 male and female inventors across 38 educational institutions, represents the outcome of coordinated national efforts to create a research and innovation system that aligns with national priorities across various fields, including engineering, technology, medicine, energy, and the environment, in addition to conducting seven specialized workshops."
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Al-Aqeeli presented two commemorative shields on behalf of the Ministry of Education to the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Swiss Confederation and the Consulate General of the Kingdom in Geneva, recognizing their support for the delegation and their role in facilitating the participation of Saudi entities.
The Deputy Minister and the guests then toured the various projects and pavilions within the education sector. He explored the educational initiatives and innovations presented and held an open meeting with the participating scholarship students.
