Highlighting the teacher's pivotal role and motivating educational contributions,the Ministry of Education honors teachers who are qualified for the 2nd round of the Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best GCC Teacher

The Assistant Minister of Education, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, honored today at the ministry’s headquarters the qualified teachers for the second phase of the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for the Best Gulf Teacher in its fourth session for the year 2021–2023. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Hamad Al Darmaki, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Educational Programs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Meqbel.
During the ceremony, His Excellency highlighted the wise leadership's interest in education, due to their belief that it is a key component in establishing a strong society. He also noted that the Ministry of Education was able to make a qualitative leap because of the support that the wise leadership provided to education. Additionally, they have prioritized education at the top of the Saudi Vision 2030 to achieve comprehensive development.
His Excellency mentioned the Ministry's collaboration with international agencies and centers in the areas of creative transformation in educational technologies, the development of innovation in teaching methods, and blended, electronic, and distance education systems. In addition to the Ministry's efforts to collaborate worldwide with countries and international educational organizations in the fields of research and studies, holding educational conferences and exhibitions, and participating in competitions and supporting awards.  This aims to raise the qualification of teachers and encouraging them to achieve competitiveness in the quality of educational outcomes. He pointed out that the Ministry's participation in the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for the Best Gulf Teacher comes from the principle of cooperation and integration with the brothers in the United Arab Emirates, concluding his speech by offering congratulations to the qualified teachers.
Dr. Hamad Al Darmaki, the Secretary General of the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher, clarified in his speech that the award aims to honor and enhance the role of the teacher as a leader of the educational process, who has a direct influence to achieve the best educational outcomes. The candidates who advance to for second stage compete based on a variety of criteria, including the improvement in the main criteria, projects and initiatives, community innovation, and pioneering initiatives. He emphasized that 13 Arab and foreign countries are taking part in the fourth session of the public vote, and that the number of nations desiring to participate globally and in the Arab world is steadily rising.
Teachers, who are qualified from the Kingdom's Education Departments for the second phase of the award, include Dr. Sultan bin Suleiman Al-Anzi from Al-Farabi School, the General Department of Education in Hail Region. In addition to Mr. Mansour bin Abdullah Al-Mansour from Prince Saud bin Jalawi School, the General Department of Education in Al-Ahsa Governorate and Mr. Hussein bin Yahiya Hanashli from Karama Bin Al-Ahmar Secondary School, the Education Department in Sabya Governorate.​
