His Excellency the Minister of Education,Mr.Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, has directed universities, institutes, and colleges of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, education departments in regions and governorates, and cultural attachés abroad, to celebrate Founding Day on February 22.
Programs, events, and activities can introduce this occasion and its historical, civilizational, and cultural importance in consolidating national values and emphasizing cohesion and unity between citizens and their leadership.
Minister Al-Bunyan’s directive coincides with the Ministry of Education’s celebration of the Saudi state's founding anniversary in all its sectors, believing in the importance of enhancing awareness and knowledge among young people to recall the history of the Saudi state, founded by Imam Mohammed bin Saud, and its capital, Diriyah. Furthermore, the education sector and students can show and express their loyalty to wise leadership—may God support it—and pride in the history of our great homeland, its solid historical roots, and its diverse civilizational and cultural depth three centuries ago.
The Minister of Education emphasized that Founding Day events, programs, and activities on Founding Day should go in line with this year's approved identity. The events’ organizers should use the academic curricula on Founding Day and the Saudi state's history to plan activities for schools and education departments, taking into account the students’ age groups at all educational levels.
