The Creativity of Design and Construction for an Attractive and Active Educational Environment

The Ministry of Education established an integrated system to create an active and attractive educational environment for buildings and equipment. The MOE has expanded its scope of work by investing in the improvement of schools. The Ministry developed the educational process and applied quality standards that align with Kingdom 2030 Vision. To create an atmosphere stimulating for creativity, the MOE plans to dispense with low-quality rented buildings, address stalled projects, and raise the quality of existing buildings.

In response to these aspirations, the Ministry studies the needs of various Education Directorates, checks on interrupted projects, and develops solutions and proposals necessary to complete them.

In addition, complaints related to project implementation are reviewed, and there is an annual plan to make field visits to all projects under implementation. The quality of their implementation is assessed based on the contracts, conditions, and specifications. The necessary reports are submitted to the relevant authorities with results and recommendations. The performance of building affairs will be evaluated in Education Directorates, and strategic plans will be developed to work in the General Administration of Projects.

The Ministry periodically reviews the technical and regulatory procedures of the projects and follows up on the submission of monthly reports of projects under implementation. The MOE studies the projects and ensures that all required tests are attached to control the quality of implementation. The Ministry has direct supervision over the restoration and rehabilitation work of the buildings and provides the operation and maintenance services for educational and administrative facilities.

In coordination with the Education Directorates, the MOE inspects buildings and facilities that suffer from the appearance of defects. The cause of the defects is identified, and appropriate repairs are made.

The MOE assesses and controls the quality of maintenance, restoration, rehabilitation, and additions, ensuring the design and implementation quality.
