Signing of a $50 million funding agreement for the "Messengers of Peace" initiative to enhance the impact of scouting worldwide

His Excellency, the Minister of Education and President of the Saudi Arabian Scout Association, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, along with Mr. Siegfried Weiser, the Board Member and Chair of the Messengers of Peace Oversight the World Scout Federation, signed a $50 million funding renewal agreement from the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the next decade. This agreement aims to inspire and encourage over 100 million Scouts to act as Messengers of Peace in 176 countries. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Human Capabilities Initiative Conference.

The initiative supports community-scouting activities worldwide, strengthens basic scouting educational programs and the capabilities of national scout organizations, inspires a global culture of peace through community service, and equips young people with the values and skills necessary to become leaders and change-makers.
