His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammad Al Sheikh, has approved the organizational guide of the general education schools, including the organizational structures, job descriptions for the educational and administrative bodies, as well as the tasks and functions of the school committees and work teams.
The new organizational guide for the general education schools is characterized as the first organizational guide for the school to be built by re-engineering the school's procedures in accordance with the best practices in this field in order to achieve the performance's effectiveness and efficiency. The guide also takes into account the use of presentation's style and construction with descriptive cards, and the development of several models for the school’s organizational structures, and independent cards to organize the work of committees and work teams, and reduce their numbers, in addition to allocating independent cards to define the job descriptions for the school employees, adopting a unified definition of all terms used in it, and linking the components of the guide with the procedural manuals that are built for education offices and schools.
This guide comes out of the focus of the Ministry's plans on strengthening governance in the education system and enabling the executive level that conducts education operations as the basic development nucleus. The comprehensive revision for the organizational manuals of the education offices and schools has been done. It includes the revision of organizational structures, the tasks of units, committees, work teams, and the job descriptions of all employees of the offices and schools. In addition to improving work procedures, educational practices in schools, and supervisory practices in offices in order to improve the level of the teaching and learning process, and ensure better learning outcomes for students.
