His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, has met today the Irish Minister of Additional Education, Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Mr. Simon Harris to discuss aspects of existing cooperation between the two friendly countries in the field of higher education and to enhance opportunities for future cooperation for research and innovation.
The two sides have discussed the establishment of a Saudi-Irish team of specialists in the fields of research and innovation to set a framework for future cooperation in the fields of education, research and innovation between universities and research centers in the two countries, in addition to expanding scholarships to Ireland in several scientific and health disciplines, especially human medicine and nursing.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Vice Minister of Education for Universities, Research and Innovation, Dr. Mohammad bin Ahmed Al-Sudairi, and some officials in the Ministry.
