The Ministry of Education signs cooperation agreements on scholarships and curricula with China

Today, the Ministry of Education signed two memoranda of cooperation with its counterpart, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. This signing ceremony is part of His Excellency the Minister of Education's visit to China and aims to enhance the educational partnership between the Kingdom and China. This collaboration includes sharing advanced curriculum expertise and scholarships, and recruiting Saudi students to study at prestigious universities in China.

The Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Education, represented by China Scholarship council, to secure study places for Saudi students at top Chinese universities, enhance the implementation of scholarship programs, and increase the chances of Saudi students gaining admission to qualitative disciplines that are in demand in the local labor market.
In light of the Saudi Ministry's decision to introduce Chinese language instruction in schools for this academic year, the Ministry of Education has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, which operates under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The objective is to collaboratively develop Chinese language curricula by incorporating contributions from both Saudi and Chinese experts into a comprehensive program for teaching Chinese in Saudi schools.

The signing of the two agreements was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan; the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to China, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Harbi; the Deputy Minister for International Education, Dr. Nasser Al-Aqeeli; and several officials from both sides.
