Minister of Education: The ministry's development efforts complement the priorities of the G20 Education Working Group
His Excellency, Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, praised the Kingdom's initiatives to align its educational development efforts with the three priorities set by the G20 Education Working Group during South Africa's presidency in 2025. These priorities include investing in teacher empowerment, promoting digital innovation, and developing comprehensive learning pathways. All these initiatives are in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, as well as the commitment to fostering global cooperation in education.
In his speech at the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the G20 Education Working Group, held today in Skukuza, South Africa, the Minister of Education emphasized the significant contributions made by the Ministry of Education to this year's outcomes of the Education Working Group. He expressed the ministry's eagerness to advance these priorities through strategic partnerships, innovative policies, and collaborative learning.
His Excellency praised South Africa's exceptional efforts in leading discussions during the G20 Education Ministers' Meeting and the Education Working Group meetings. He noted that South Africa's presidency of the G20 serves as an inspiring source for educational priorities that align with both national objectives and global aspirations. These meetings facilitated the exchange of expertise and best practices, which will contribute to the development of comprehensive and resilient education systems for the future.
Minister Al-Benyan emphasized that there is a collective responsibility to provide every learner with the necessary knowledge, skills, values, and opportunities to succeed in this ever-changing world. He noted that the Kingdom has several initiatives supporting systems, sectors, and communities to ensure that education remains a cornerstone of peace, prosperity, and human dignity.

The Minister of Education and the accompanying delegation participated in a session today that focused on the reflections of the Education and Training Working Group's initiatives, as well as the key findings, trends, challenges, and recommendations related to the three main priorities.
