His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, along with the UK Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom, Mr. Stephen Hitchin, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding today between Colleges of Excellence and the British Council. This agreement seeks to enhance English language teaching and develop national competencies within the technical and vocational training sector, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The memorandum seeks to enhance collaboration between the two parties across various areas. This includes student assessment through the provision of internationally recognized standardized tests, curriculum development in business English and soft skills, and direct training for students as required. Additionally, it aims to facilitate the establishment of British Council-affiliated classrooms within colleges and improve teacher qualifications through specialized training programs for English language teachers in the Kingdom.
The Colleges of Excellence Company was represented by its CEO, Eng. Ayman Al-Abdullah, while the British Council was represented by its Country Director, Mr. Matthew Knowles. Both sides emphasized that this partnership will contribute to improving the quality of training and preparing national cadres with linguistic and cognitive skills that will enhance their readiness for the local and global labor market.
