The Ministry of Education will host the International Conference and Exhibition for Education from May 8-11, 2022. The event will be at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference will examine the opportunities for education development and the incentives to invest in education in the Kingdom. Panels of experts will introduce solutions to overcome the challenges facing education, enhance the efficiency of its institutions, and improve its outcomes in accordance with international standards.
Representatives from 253 organizations will participate in the ICEE 2022. Joining the Saudi delegation will be officials from education ministries around the world. In total, 145 international educators and experts from universities, institutes, and educational centers will be in attendance.
Headlining the main session is H.E. Dr. Hamad M.H. Al Sheikh, the Minister of Education in Saudi Arabia. He will lead a discussion on the education policies in times of crisis and the mechanism of dealing with the challenges of epidemics to ensure the sustainability of the educational process. Al Sheikh will be joined by H.E. Eng. Nadhim Zahawi (Secretary of State for Education in the United Kingdom), H.E. Dr. Tariq Jalal Shawky (Minister of Education and Technical Education in Egypt), H.E. Eng. Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi (Minister of Education in the United Arab Emirates), H.E. Dr. Noraini binti Ahmed, Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia, and H.E. Dr. Jimmy Saavedra (International Director of Education at the World Bank).
Panelists will address many topics, including those related to facing the current challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and how to deal with future epidemics. Developing the infrastructure for distance education via the internet and other educational channels will also be a topic of discussion. The sessions will also cover aspects of enhancing the quality of education at all levels.
