The Ministry of Education continues sending out more than 71 million textbooks for the first semester of all stages, and to completing its delivery to education directorates in the regions and governorates of the Kingdom, as part of the Ministry's efforts to prepare early for the next academic year 1443 AH ( 2022 AD).
The Ministry had completed early the phases of designing curricula for all stages, reviewing and approving them, completing their printing, and following up on their dispatching according to a time plan that ensures that they reach all schools in all regions of the Kingdom well before the start of the school year. The strategic development team in the Ministry continues its continuous efforts to switch to digital curricula and replace paper books with smart devices according to a phased plan starting from the next academic year.
The textbooks include the new curricula that were announced for the English language for the elementary grades, life and family skills, digital skills, critical thinking, teacher's guides for self-defense at the elementary stage, the curricula of the common year in the secondary tracks, as well as the development and revision of Islamic and social studies curricula, the increase of enrichment, applications, and exercises in science and mathematics subjects.
The Ministry of Education has finished printing 28,452,093 million textbooks for the elementary stage, 14,767,573 million textbooks for the intermediate stage, and 26,886,034 million textbooks for the secondary stage, with a total of 70,105,700 million textbooks for general education schools. The ministry has also printed 187,266 thousand textbooks for the Holy Qur’an memorization schools, and 375 125 thousand textbooks for schools of adult education and illiteracy schools, kindergartens, and the community program without illiteracy, 28,100 thousand textbooks for the visually impaired (Braille) institutes. In addition to 22,541 thousand textbooks for students and activities for intellectual education institutes and programs for all levels, and 1,054,539 million textbooks for international schools, 55,134 thousand textbooks for Saudi schools abroad, 160,350 thousand textbooks for Arab schools in Djibouti, 62,156 thousand teacher guides for self-defense sports, and 3,500 thousand books for the Chinese language at the secondary stage; With a total of 71,863,645 million textbooks for the year 1443 AH ( 2022 ) for all academic stages of the first semester.
