The Ministry of Education joins the international community in honoring "World Heritage Day," which falls on April 18 each year. The Ministry wants to highlight its efforts in preserving the Kingdom's heritage, educating students, and allowing them to learn about their country's heritage in order to protect it and achieve the Kingdom's vision 2030 of revitalizing heritage and raising awareness of it.
Based on the Ministry of Education's interest in cultural heritage in all of its sectors, the World Heritage Day initiative was approved to promote positive practices toward the Kingdom's heritage and culture, as well as encourage students to protect monuments and heritage places in their homeland. The ministry is a firm believer in society's involvement in accomplishing national development goals and bringing about tangible changes for the betterment of society.
The Ministry of Education emphasized the importance of activating participation in World Heritage Day in education departments and schools by organizing activities and events that increase public awareness of monuments and strive to revive them.
